N. Fork Holston River – Sighting

Virginia Bigfoot Research Organization Sighting Report.
Names have been retracted to protect confidentiality.

County: Washington County
Sighting Date:
April 2008
Location:N. Fork Holston River, State Wildlife area near Saltville. Camping on a bend in the river just below the mouth of Big Tumbling Creek.
Physical Traits:
Activity:We canoed down into this wilderness area, on a large bend in the river where there is no road access, for the purpose of examining a large cave in the cliff overlooking the river. The cave contains carvings from the 1800`s, and also would be an outstanding shelter for any creature that wants to get out of the weather. The mouth is about 30` in diameter, and it narrows down to 5` at the very back. After spending hours looking for the cave and finding it, we camped down by the river in hammocks. In the middle of the night a creature came within 50` and growled at us threateningly with a very very deep voice. Couldn`t say what it was, but it was big.
Setting:Woods by the river, very isolated area.
Witnesses: Me and my buddy Robert.
